Facebook influences hundreds of millions of people daily, not to mention he's one of the technology leaders that regularly meets with big time players in the political, social, and business worlds. He's part of a group of technology people that meets with the POTUS.
He's made it easy for people (friends, family, etc) to share their lives with others via an online platform that has an incredible ability to scale. Like I said, I don't really care for the guy, but his influence in such a short time is damn impressive.
I'd be willing to be the players who met him all got a kick out of meeting him. Saban will get something from this meeting, you can take that to the bank. It might be something simple, but he'll gain some insight from meeting with them that he can use. I'd argue he cares, he might not care about social media in his direct daily life, but he realizes the values of social media.
