🏈 The F-16's were practicing their flyover today...

Which out fit was it? anyone know.

I'd like to remind everyone that the 100th FS (Tuskeegee Airmen Squadron) is now back home in Alabama.
Thier attached to the Air Gaurd unit in Montgomery flying F-16's. with their signiture Red Tails.
You can stand in the middle of Hwy 80, throw a rock and hit thier planes.
I see then every time i go to winn-dixie. I'd personally be happy if
those guys did ALL of the fly overs @ BDS. Nothing says Alabama more than Tuskeegee Redtails.
One of which i think is named "The City of Tuscaloosa"

I think thier all named after Alabama towns.

My wife about jumped out of her skin at the PSU game.

We all did in my section too! There was a little baby, and we were all immediately concerned about her. Scared us half to death, but she did nothing but laugh.....still cracks me up thinking about it. She cried as the players were introducing themselves, and we all thought we might be in for a long night. Soon as Big Al came on the screen and the flyover took place it was nothing but happiness. Kids, you never know.

Sooo, it was late. Was that why no one seemed to know it was coming????

Usually they are right after the National Anthem..

If it was from Danelly it was the 187th TFW AL ANG.
As for wich squadron....no way of knowing as i think they have 4 including the 100th FS.

Kool FYI. The AL ANG will be transitioning to the new F-35 Lighting II and moving to Maxwell AFB soon.
They're scheduled to be the 1st stealth equiped ANG unit in the country.

I'm a bit of an aviation buff and that picture is fantastic. The F-16 is an aging bird, but it is one of the most elegant girls ever.

Yeah i am too.
Got it from my Grand paw. He was a flight eng. on a B-24C-109 Tanker in WWII in the CBI.
Also worked on F-84's & F-86's @ K55 Osan in Korea. So i grew up with avgas in my blood.

I've been the C/O of WWII Combat Sim Squadron in IL-2 Strumovik for over 8 years now.
Good times.

And those F-16's allmost every day. Like i said they park them so close to the fence
ya could throw a rock and hit one from the hwy.

I bet it is/was fun to talk to your Grand paw about the B-24. My father was a S Sgt in WWII and was in Kunming China with the Flying Tigers (not the original Flying Tigers that flew before the US officially entered WWII) and he worked on the B-24 Liberator. Small World.

Here is a short video of the flyover from the game.
