🏀 🏀 2025-26 Bama Basketball Off-season News and Updates: THURS Press Conference with Nate Oats

Defense is not going to be good. At least interior wise. Sherrell just doesn't have it. He played better in the 2nd half, but he is going to get abused by any decent big. Rebounding is a serious problem too. I don't what needs to happen, but Oats and Brian Adams have to fix it before we play a team like St Johns or Purdue.

But on a positive note, on-ball D for the guards was an improvement. Davion Hannah had an excellent block that denied a layup. Our length will be an issue if we ever can play decently on D.

Offense is great. Ball movement is way smoother than I thought. Its awesome seeing how many ball handlers we have. Like usual under Oats, turnovers are going to be an issue early on. Just playing way too fast and not making smart passes. But it'll come as chemistry grows. Holloway played better than last game (won the hard hat). This man needs to realize how good he is at breaking down the D with how quick his first step is. Utilize your quickness, drive and kick.

Seeing Trelly out there was awesome. He doesn't look too limited like I thought.

Watched highlights only. Thngs looked pretty good. Turnovers happened in waves and a lot of offensive rebounds were long rebounds. It also helped that Furmon shot a lot of bricks. Defense looked night and day from FSU game. Shooting was great and Holloway was shooting lights out.

He wants to hang out at the 3 pt. line and shoot 3's.
He can do what me and a buddy of mine did back in the day. Had a coach that had a "special" player that he would never pull from a game. He really didn't have to, the guy would usually foul out before halftime. Me and my buddy rode the pine during this period of our careers, so the coach came out had pushed out the ball cart and told us to shoot from where we played. We grabbed some of the balls and started chucking them up from the bleachers, he came out and went ballistic, wanted to know what the hell we were doing. Response, shooting from where we play. 😛

I hate graphics like that. Give me a freaking list. I'm good. It's not as bad as the charts you see with logo's on top of each other. But, you should not have to stop and think, "who is that?"

I'd be willing to bet more than half of the college basketball fans will look at this and say the same.
