It was just an exibition game but we have seen similar issues under Oats time at Bama. In my view Oats is going to have to sit people for defensive lapses if he is ever going to really make D a priority. He says the right words and I am sure they work hard on it but not often he puts players on the pine for defense. I do not have the stats from the past but I know he has done it but not at a zero tolerance level.

Now the above statement is assuming w/o really knowing it is effort and/or mental lapses and not scheme.

If you don't play defense, he'll sit the players. He has done that over and over ... He has no tolerance for that. This is just the preseason game ......

Ole Miss is going to be the team to watch out for IMO. Beard did a phenomenal job last year and they have a fairly manageable schedule to start SEC play.

Kentucky and Tennessee are overrated; Aggies underrated.

Well, they have had success. If it weren't for our F4 run, I'd say they'd have the edge due to the head to head matchup.

I don't pay a lot of attention to KP until late December and early January. And even then it's a little too soon. With the metric based on comparisons to the average team and teams changing to drastically from year to year...takes awhile to get a base, ya know?

The state of SC hasn't been kind to Bama this weekend. I believe the final was 8-3, Clemson, in baseball yesterday. I'll have to look up the Grand Slammers' account's on X.

Hoping to see a lot better effort on D than last game. Rewatched the FSU game before bed last night and mercy, that transition D wouldn't stop Bob Jones HS. Sherrell needs to show he can be quicker with his feet to be able to protect the rim.
