šŸ€ The College RPI Nitty Gritty Report: Jerry Palm's and Joe Lunardi's brackets

No movement in seeding from last week. The only change I can see is Palm doesn't have us as a bubble team anymore.

I still don't like the thought of facing Duke in Greensboro, but I'd rather face the Blue Devils than travel to Omaha and face the Jayhawks.

You know Howard, this bracket is starting to look a lot like last years. I had one side almost perfect, lost many games on the other.

The South and the East? I could make my Sweet 16 picks today and feel REAL comfortable about them. The West and Midwest? Not so much...

I don't think he has updated his bracket to include the week end games. According to his "nitty gritty" list MSU is now on the outside looking in. Last year I was all set to win a cash bracket competition because of all the fall out on one side of the draw. All I needed was for Florida to beat Butler, LOL. What's going on at HogSportsTalk.com today. Tried to drop in and got a message that the domain name had expired.

I don't know, Terry. I think I'd rather face Duke than NC, Kansas, or Syracuse. Tennessee gave Duke all they wanted. Of course, ut beat Florida twice too, so maybe it was the matchup.

All that said, I just love Bama basketball right now.

You are on the back-end of a conversation Howard and I have been having.

I don't mind facing Duke at all!!! It's Greensboro I'm talking about.

Setting aside how the seeds play each other, one thing that jumps out to me each and every year.

If you look at Kentucky, or say Duke or North Carolina, they deserve to have a "home court" type of advantage when it comes to the dance. At least that's how I see it.

But, I have a little bit of an issue when I see a team like Vandy playing at home (in Nashville) during the first two rounds. As a six seed and assuming they get past Arizona they'll be looking at playing Michigan who is a three seed.

It just doesn't make sense for a six seed to have that kind of advantage in the tournament.

Palm has updated his bracket. We are now an 8, slated to play UVA in Pittsburg in round 1, with Syracuse lurking. That is noticeably better than playing Duke in their back yardin the 2nd game. Terry, as I remember it the NCAA set out a few years ago to make the early rounds more equitable, travel wise, for the smaller schools, and as a genearl money saving device as well. This would result in, for example, the Lee County School of Cosmetology and Auto repair, a 16 seed, playing a #1 seed in Atlanta rather than in Seattle.Palm has the fighting Stansburys now in a play in game versus Central Florida.

I don't know.

It depends on if this team continues shooting the way they are. I like the way we match up against Duke far more than 'Cuse. With the Orange, I'd fear having Green, Jacobs, and Engstrom on the bench in the first all having three fouls.
