šŸ“” The Big 12 votes to accept Colorado as their newest member. (UC Regents meeting Thursday.)

I don't care too much about what Colorado does, they don't really register high enough on my football power meter for that to happen. But I do hate that the Pac-12 is falling apart, I hate that USC and UCLA are headed to the Big 10. It is a shame that the conference has been plagued with terrible leadership for years... they screwed themselves with their network deal, limiting their audience and their money. Now, they've lost the LA market and the Denver market... and who knows who jumps next... Utah maybe? We pretty much know where things are ultimately headed as far as super conferences, but it is still sad to see a lot of this take place.
Big 10 has a chance to jump into wider range...
The arms race is really so exhausting....

I just checked to see how much Colorado has to pay to leave the Pac12. Answer: $0

Their departure coincides with the end of the Pac12 media rights deal. The conference doesn’t have an agreement past mid-2024. So the Buffalos get out of jail for free.

Yes, that's why USC and UCLA waited, too. With no financial hook, I'm not sure why others wouldn't bolt. Washington, Utah, Arizona, Arizona State, Stanford and Oregon are all AAU members (supposedly not a requirement for Big 10 admission, but it seems to be). Big 10 could deal a killing blow to the PAC at no cost to the schools. I've got to think Oregon's egos are just begging to move to the Big 10 (they're the northeastern equivalent of aTm in my book) about now. I think Colorado moved to the Big 12 because it's the best they could do. Big 12 may yet get more scraps once the Big 10 is done with its kill.

The pack 12 will probably bring in Boise State, Nevada, San Jose, State, Fresno, State, and possibly BYU .. they could make lemon pie from lemon rinds… if the schools move into a PAC 12 conference look for their recruiting to explode…
Because they’re revenues will explode if they can get more TV deals… California, and Nevada will be very fertile recruiting grounds for the schools…more TV money more NIL money..
Both the sunny day schools made a big mistake going to the big 10… they will have a very tough time in the cold winter games coming from mild California…

BYU just moved to the Big12. They must give a 27-month notice and pay $10 million
