🏈 The 2024 SEC football schedule:

All the info, no hour long show to watch...

I figured most of the league schools would follow the NFL model and go this route with their social media teams… so far, this is the only one I’ve seen. Bama just used gifs. But, certainly possible that some schools kept the circle of trust with the scheduling really small, which would have been requested from Sankey.

Vandy, Mizzou and SC? I think we got off easy. Probably the easiest schedule we could have absent any Mississippi fodder. MSU dodged us and still has a tough row to hoe. We beat GA at home and potentially won't see them in the SECC game.

@50+yeartidefan in terms of nonconference games, after next year we upgrade from USF and will have Wisconsin at home and FSU on the road in '25.

Ours ok.
Non conference
south fla. Western ky. Mercer at home
Go to Wisconsin

I think we got off easy.
The SEC wants to have the Bama at OU game early in the season. So, how easy is it actually?

* - already scheduled dates.

8/31- WKU*
9/07 - USF*
9/14- at Wisconsin*
9/21- at Oklahoma (suggestions through SEC offices.)
9/28 -
10/5 -
10/12 -
10/19 - at Tennessee
10/26 - BYE
11/2 - at LSU
11/9 -
11/16 - Mercer*
11/23 - Auburn*
11/30 - SECCG weekend.

We're left with @ Vandy, home games against UGA, Mizzou, and UofSC.

While it would conclude with Vandy, we could be looking at three road games back to back to back.

Do you think they want UGA after the road trip to OU? I don't. I believe they'll (ESPN programming) will want that to be a prime-time game. With OU vs Bama also fitting that bill, I don't see the Tide, in primetime, back to back weeks.)

That leads me to believe Bama will be

9/28 - at Vandy
10/5 - UGA
10/12- Mizzou
11/9 - South Carolina.

CAVEAT: I haven't looked to be sure but my gut is telling me we may be looking at the extra (second) bye week in '24. I'm not sure how the playoff calendar affects this yet.

@It Takes Eleven

So for football is on thing
For $2000 season tickets is another

Looking at home schedule

We will be paying for the UGA and AU games

Lot of money for 2 prime home games

The next year may be different. But 24 ... phew

Just got to ride it out and look forward to the next season. Kind of what I did last year for this year. And of freaking course we decided to play travel football and instead of the normal Tuesday/Thursday games, we will play on, yep, you guessed it, Saturday's. Probably be selling most of mine, the ones I got specifically for the Texas game.

That means the Georgia game I waited for for years that got busted up by COVID (shitty crowd/policies and shitty not normal seats), and now this Texas game I was pumped about have been messed up for me. Atleast I can say the Texas one is for a legit reason being my son.

Offers right now for the Texas game alone (4, NEZ, R2) are just under $1500. It's anticipated we'll see single game tickets broach $500 a piece.

So, spare me with this "paying 2K for two games" when you're getting four. That family of four is going to pay more than 2K for that game weekend—at this rate, likely in the $2500 range for four.

Now, let's talk about lodging for that family (as much as 2K in April of this year.)

I was seriously hoping for no more Iron Bowl. We don't need that game anyways. It would do us a world of good to never have to face auburn again, unless on some WAY off chance, we got them in the SECCG. But that's a LONG shot. That whole thing about UA-AU being the "greatest rivalry in sports" has always baffled me. First of all, the Yankees and the Red Sox would like to chime in. Second of all, what has really come out of playing them? They average about one win every 4-5 years against us these days and then they live off of it for at least a decade. But when we beat them, it's just on to prepping for bigger things, 2022 of course, notwithstanding.

Well. Really paying 2000$ for the 2 tickets for those 2 games Period

If you wanna add the travel/lodging/food no problem.

Football at BD is our fall vacation so.its easy to justify.

True. The market may be high for the texas tickets. Or Tennessee. Or even lsu. For this years games
Next year uga or AU tickets may ( ha... will be) be high

But the rest. Below face value

Holding mine on west lowers. See where they price us for future

If I get to go to the Texas game, I'm going. But I will be selfish and if I can't go, be interested to see how high a couple of lower level tickets on the opposing 40 yard line will be.

Things in future look up.

Agree with you... dump the Barn. Does nothing for Bama.

Speaking of the dipshits... I don't know how much they'll push for it with the new scheduling (and with OU/Texas added into the mix), but auburn had been clamoring for the SEC to alternate their home/away games with UGA and Bama again. When the scheduling was altered about 10 years ago, UGA had to play at auburn 2 consecutive years. They ain't eating that one again. Bama ain't either. So, will they just leave it as is and enjoy the revenue boost every other year, or throw UGA a bone (sorry for the unintended pun), and give up a home game to them at some point soon? I figure they'll let it ride with the new scheduling more than likely, but they always seem to have something up their sleeve, so who knows...
