🏈 Thank You all!

Terry came in a little later but had Administrator qualities and great knowledge of Alabama sports and jumped right in and fined tuned it here. Doemasters, Porter(Brandon Van de Graaff), Porchop, Bamafan4ever, BamaBo (JimBo), rammerjammer,Bamaman37,It Takes Eleven, Crimson Pirate, Rick4bama, Kudzu, reger60, argo, planomateo, BamaJay73 and a few others all helped to make it.
As of now
The guy that pays the bills, does the photography and keeps the site running is Doemasters, Terry maintains the site as well and is the all around ebb and flow of the site with Brandon (Porter). The rest of these guys do a awesome job of providing quality info, and maintain facts instead of siting sources and such. One person whom we lost recently was our voice of reason, most evenly mannered person I have ever had the privilege to meet and know, and we all dedicate this site to him for that is BamaBo or Jimbo. I sure miss him.

The actual site is ran by you all though, we firmly believe that, and are thankful for each of you.

I had no idea who you were until a few days ago when you first posted. Please stay and post more :twothumbs:

Kirk, I agree that this is one of the preeminent Bama boards around and the only one I post on. I left for a while, gonig to an SEC board and spending all my time in a forum that discussed religion, politics, and the like. I finally got tired of all the political BS there and made my exit. While I may not post everyday, I will be here reading all the good info these guys give us.

I noticed Porkchop's name in your post. Is he still around? Does anyone know where he is?

Philly beat both you out. LOL. I prefer not to post and bogart this site. Just my style. I like seeing all of you posting and cutting up. I will throw things in from time to time, but prefer to be member active and be on the downlow on the Admin side. Heck Doemasters, Terry and Brandon do a fantastic job anyways. I really think everybody here is like one big family. There are people here I haven't mentioned that have been here for the long haul, when we were called CrimsonTusks. Seriously, I have not met a better bunch of down to earth Bama fans. There are lurkers that don't post but come here everyday. We have a few ex-Bama players on here too. Just a great place.

Pirate, Porkchop is still around, and I need to call him and get him posting some.

Without ROLLTIDEBAMA (and the RAV4world.com forum ) I'd be lost and have no friends. Great site, great people, and a wealth of amusement, fun, and Tide information! Congrats on the Big 10 (I mean years.... not the conference :icon_lol: ) Ba-Doom Phish. I'm hear all week folks. And don't forget the salad bar! Roll Tide 4 EVER!

Was TP one of the original founders also? I know he adds a ton of good content as well but I've only been around 7 years or so. I also do not frequent any other Bama forums. Love this one! One day I'll make it back for a home game and meet some of you guys and thank you in person with a handshake.

It's great to be from Alabama, yesterday, today, and tomorrow!! Roll Tide!!

As life has its ironies, I was one of the founders of the site a lot of guys came here from.

What's crazy, at least to me, is the guy that ran off so many of the guys here is a guy I brought on board. It took about a year or so for me to realize how badly I had screwed up with that move. Once I had enough and moved on 'Chop asked me to come over here...and the rest is history. Kirk made a comment a few days ago that even the staff members here say and make some moronic moves. I fulfilled my quota. In the end it was a good lesson learned. It's ridiculous to get caught up on power trips, to base your persona on a title on a message forum, or get offended by someone's opinion. (Don't get me wrong, cuss a member out or something those lines? Yeppers, that still pisses me off.)

Believe you me, I consider myself lucky to have a place like this to play around. The conversation is a heck of a lot of fun as is the site design, supplying content, adding different mods and hacks for us to play with, etc. In the near future we're planning on another upgrade and I can't wait to get back into the nuts and bolts playing around with the software options, etc.

One of these days this off-season I should take a few minutes and tell the story about how Alabama message forums came into existence. The "major sites" sites that cover Bama, and those owners, all came from the same place—a little area on UA's server back in the very early '90's. Literally, before the world wide web was available to your "everyday Joe."

Damn, almost got listed 1st. Damn you Birdman :icon_twisted:

At least bamaradier always has a picture of his "wife" with his posts. :tennis: He is my favorite poster! I came over from tide sports years ago when it was Crimson Tusks. If I am not mistaken, porkchop invited me to the site. I' ll never forget the outpouring of support I received when my wife almost died 10 years ago this past Dec. Thanks again folks for a great place to visit.

I, for one, would be very interested in hearing this history.

Love rolltidebama. Best Bama site there is, hands down. I had been a longtime reader here, and then I joined in 2012. Great group of people, great discussion and great info all the way around. I was a member of another Bama site that was a little too, shall I say, stringent, for my tastes! I think you had to wear a tie to post there, LOL! Thank you for having a site where posters can just be themselves and not have to worry about tip toeing around.

It's all your fault, bro. :biggrin_blue:

This board is where I start the day. It always has the scoop. I like shooting trolls more than I should.
FWIW I do enjoy the armchair analysis of BAMA football. If our couches could coach it would be the perfect place.
