šŸˆ Texas fans and some in the media!

Are saying WHAT IF? Colt would not have gotten hurt? Well let me just say Texas had the ball inside the 10 twice in the 1st quarter and came away with 6 pts. Bama score when they had it inside the 10...

Secondly if Mack daddy Brown would have played Gilbert when Tejas was up 50 pts. on North Texas juvenile directional school and got him some exper. instead of running up Puss McCoy's Heisman numbers then maybe Gilbert would have played better when he took the feild early on!

Roll damn Tide it's been 17 long years and the other 119 fan bases and the media can kiss my lilly white ass!

BAMA-37 Tejas-21:lol::lol:

i don't think it would have mattered that much. if anything it could have been worse for texas. they would have attempted to throw more which could have meant more picks as McCoy did in previous games.

it isn't like McCoy had a virus and couldn't play. He got knocked the hell out of the game on a clean hit. that's football. that's why it's about the team and not one guy. if the shoe were on the other foot i would expect Alabama to win anyway... because we run the stinking football like we mean it.

Having a more complete and able team secured the victory..not hanging all your hopes on one jersey.

Exactly. If they were worried about things like this happening then they shouldn't have worried about padding Colt's stats and running up scores the entire season. Gibson had a decent second half and he looked okay under fire. Too bad for him his coaching staff didn't think about things like pretty boy Colt getting injured. Like the Gators I guess they figured their QB was Superman and wouldn't ever get hurt???

I hate it for Colt, but damn enough is enough. It's a physical game and it was unfortunate that their star QB and apparently the only person that could win a game for them to get injured. At the same time, it's the nature of the beast and things like this happen sometimes. I wish Colt well in his future, but it happened. Texas can get over it...

One thing that has pissed me off a little are some of the UT fans saying we were classless by scoring that last TD on them. Oddly enough, Texas ran the score up on how many teams just this past season??? I feel like they should have been a little more gracious for being there. If not for that "long" second in the Nebraska game, they wouldn't have been there.

Someone else mentioned 'What if OKs Sam Bradford wouldn't have gotten hurt, TX may not even been in the NC picture'. 'What if Hightower and Square wouldn't have gotten hurt, no one would have scored on us'...playing the what if game is purely speculative.

That's it, there's always gonna be what if's. Texas fans need to move on...

Well....it just goes to show that Texas really are the losers in more ways the one. Losers make excuses and winners just keep winning....simply put. If McCoy was the only difference in this game, then Texas lost it before they even stepped on the field.....because true winners will find a way to win whether it's Colt at QB or a one armed blind man.

IF we would've played better we would've beat that a$$ by 30 or more. Texas fans can whine and cry about "IF" all they want at the end of the day when they open up newspapers, magazines, and watch t.v it's going to say ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!!!!

i cannot believe that people cannot see the logic with playing safe and letting the 2nd string qb hang himself..

and the broken rib story was very enlightening as well..

i think we beat texas 7 out of 10 times.
