🏈 Texas A&M to the SEC?

I hate that we have to expand, but there is two important words there "have to." I fill that for expansion $ wise we need to expand west as much as we can; per that I'll take A&M anyday, and I hope we go after Mizzou to get the St. Louis and Kansas City Markets. I really wanted Oklahoma too, but that looks slim to none. Exapanding east doesn't do a whole lot of good, because we already own all the important TV markets in the southeast other then Miami, but unless we can bring in the Dolphins we would not gain anything from the Miami area. There is also the whole state of North Carolina with Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham, Greensville, Ashville and Fayetteville Markets that we are absent in, but since it's a basketball state with no football power houses and expansions are typically based on football I don't see bringing in anyone from North Carolina as benifical. Maybe NC State since they're not tied to Tobacco Road as much, but that's like adding a UCF. Clemson (yes I know they are in SC) on the other hand apparently has a lot of backer in the Charlotte area and that's the jewel of that state anyways. I hope Stallings can pull it off, because A&M is the SEC's best option.

A&M would be a good fit for the SEC, as we all know it's about the $$$$. I don't think we will add teams just for addings sake, if they don't bring in some cash, we won't add them. Seems appropriate that we go West to pick up some of that Texas $...There are so many rumors floating around right now though, who knows what to believe. This could be an interesting week.

To some degree "Football Powerhouse" is not a need. Consider the dismissal of Miami, Florida State, Georgia Tech, and Clemson. Each of these has a National Title to their credit since 1980. The reason is that they don't increase the SEC pie.

From a football stand point, which the North Carolina Schools brings less that Vandy, who adds little that Tennessee, Alabama, or Ole Miss don't already bring?

I'm just saying that they can not automatically be dismissed, especially if pair with Virginia Tech of a second North Carolina program.
