FWIW, not that it was ever within the realm of actually happening, but feelers were sent out to Byrne re: that opening. I like Alberts though, that's a good hire for them, IMO. Certainly much better than that unscrupulous cretin Bjork.

Ya ought to tweet something about Greg's father having worked at Nebraska...a few will freak out as much as the A&M rumors made them ...

I don't know a whole lot about Alberts. He does strike me as a guy who doesn't bide bureaucratic bullshit. That makes me think he'll be a good fit around the table with other AD's.

Five months ago his salary at Nebraska was doubled: 1.7 million per year. Bjork wasn't making that much when he left A&M.
