🧑‍🤝‍🧑 / 🏡 TerryP we have talk about package being late?

Nowhere near as long as 72 years...but

I received a Christmas card from a friend a few years ago (sends me one every year). He sent it the last week of November. When I received it, I sent him one 2 days later. In February the following year, he tells me he just got it in the mail. He lives just outside of Huntsville and I live a few miles outside of Birmingham. It took his card 2 days to get to me, but mine took over 2 months to get to him...same distance.

Gotta love the USPS (not really).

Used to almost never happen and they'd compensate you if it did. I expect it now.

I ordered coffee for our office last week,
Everything I ordered last year wasn't needed that day, or the next, and rarely in their two day window. Expecting it makes it more amusing than frustrating. The only thing that "ticked" me off was a caulk gun and I just did something else that day.

I really haven't had any real issues with Prime shipping. I think I've had like 2 things in the past year or so that arrived in 3 days. Twice, I did have an incorrect item arrive so I had to do a "return". But they sent out the correct item(s) and I got them the next day.

I will say that there's an Amazon distribution center about 10 minutes from me. So I actually see a decent amount of next day delivery items; that I assume is due to being so close to one.

And sometimes, I'll choose the later delivery date if I get a digital credit with it. I like to save those up then use them to get a free movie.

Finally...if Amazon isn't keeping their end of the "Prime 2-day shipping" deal, then cancel. Nobody forced anybody to pay for it. And if you do cancel it, you'll still have whatever time is left on it to use for free shipping.

It's worth the money for free shipping and prime tv for me. Wasn't a complaint just an observation they they're consistently late these days where they used to not be.

Was ordering my daughter and son in law the ninja luxe espresso machine. Thought I’d check Amazon and they had them. Amazon said they’d get it in 2 days. 2 weeks later I canceled the order and requested a refund. Now they’re saying I’ll get my refund when I send the machine back. Never got the machine and the online tracker said it was never delivered. So now I’m fighting them for almost $800…..
In the mean time I ordered it straight from shark ninja and they got it in 3 days!!!!

I was saying more in general than for anyone personally. Sorry if that came across the wrong way.

And i agree that it's worth it for the free shipping and Prime TV. The shipping alone from last year alone (and the previous years by themselves) would've probably cost me double what I pay for Prime.

Do they like it? Wife switched from keurig to nespresso and likes it better. I can't stand coffee.

I love my coffee. I also have an espresso machine that I use every day after work. The strange thing is I don't drink it for the caffeine. Caffeine doesn't affect me at all. I drink it for the taste.
