🏈 Tennessee understood the tendancies of Lane Kiffin?

When 'Bama created predictable down & distance plays, 3rd & long, it made UT's play calling easy peasy. When that happens against a Highly competitive opponent, that is what happens on sacks. Let's face it, UT is getting better & they are not beating themselves as much. It's not like they were in Kiffin's headset

Oh, absolutely. I agree with everything you said 100%.

My initial point was, the same player grouping was in for all three plays mentioned above in my first post. No subbing Greene and no subbing at all. However, on the 1st play of the series, the two safeties were playing practically on top of the line backers and on the next 1st down, they dropped back 20 yards and defended the pass well enough that Coker could not unload the ball quickly enough to keep from being sacked. Obviously, an O-line break down but also the predictability does not serve anyone well except the defense.

Question is, how did we get to third and long so easily?

When you dial up the deep ball and it ends in sacks or incompletes, with out QB situation, that will cause trouble. Kiffin likes hit or miss plays and we miss a lot... obviously... Because we are at the top of the nation in negative plays.

That's how you get in third and longs. Consistently

For clarification, 3rd & long is anything over 3rd & 6. MOST of the time we shot ourselves in the foot to get there.

As far as UT knowing our plays... I guess they just ignored the hints on the scoring drive & scoring play that Henry had on the sweep... untouched.

Somebody find me some black helicopters & tell them they suck at following hints...
