I heard about this happening last night and ran into a few video's: interesting one from Corbin. He implies it's been discussed around the SEC in the last week?

The batter was called out for the use of an illegal bat. I think the bats "seized" are sent to the SEC offices.

The Viles being the Viles. Same as the Barn can't win w/o doing something shady. Oh and yes I am declaring them guilty before it is proven :). I like my chances being right since it is the Viles.

They probably love him like Auburn does Pearl, but what a hot headed ass he is. A terrible example for any kid or player. This is the second time I've seen him fly off the handle like that with the first time being against us last year.

Come on man… it’s so hard to keep up with legal bat stickers these days. You gotta pay a legitimate sticker checker, they got to have the correct moisture content in their spit to apply said sticker so it doesn’t come of during BP and besides, Honcho just crossed the Rio Grande as is just trying to provide fo his family. :p

I learned a lot from this fiasco. I wondered how they verified bats for college, didn’t know about the pre-game checks and sticker system. Good lesson here for me. And at the Vols expense! 🤣 That makes it even better!

Bat was probably “rolled” or even had a flat area on the sweet spot. Figured college ball would have some type of way of verifying the bats, using a sticker. HS used to check but basically, just look them over and go. Similar in football, that an official had to initial each football that we planned to use in the game.

They've been playing cat and mouse forever with bats, long before Demarinis showed up. I remember the first time I tried a friend's Demarini, I guess thirty years ago. Astonishing what it could do in comparison.
Funny you mention them. Surfin' about SEC baseball led to this a day or two ago.

I remember the first time I hit a DeMarini double wall softball bat, probably 15+ years ago now. They since have banned them. A 300 foot fence was no match for the double wall. My brother still has one but we can’t use it in games.
