🏈 Tebow writing his Memoirs

I'm not anti-Tebow, but this strikes me as funny.

He's 23. I've got boots older than that.

NEW YORK—Former Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow is working on an inspirational memoir.

Tebow is collaborating with Nathan Whitaker on "Through My Eyes," scheduled to come out in April. HarperCollins announced the book Monday.



The former University of Florida quarterback was drafted this year in the first round by the Denver Broncos. He has played in four games so far, scoring two touchdowns in 10 carries, but has yet to throw a pass in the regular season.
In a statement released by HarperCollins, the 23-year-old Tebow said his book would be a story "of faith, family and football" and inspiring people to "fulfill their dreams."

I think it's quite appropriate that he's writing his memoirs now. Let's get real: he's not going to be in the NFL too long anyway. My thinking is he stays long enough for Urban Meyer to coach a little longer at UF, then step aside (maybe 1-2 more years), get another coach who is a flop, they fire him, and at age 30, Timmy T returns to the college game as the head coach of the UF Gators. No kidding. The guy is meant to be a coach, not an NFL qb. College is where all that emotion and intensity is at it's most useful. You can use some of it in the NFL, but NFL qb's are all about being durable, and finding success with one organization for a lifetime. Is it Denver? Doubt it. Doesn't strike me as the next Elway. He's a runner first, then a passer. Average career length of an NFL running back? Around 7 years. He's 23 now.....

Not Tebow bashing here. I know he's a good person. I have to agree though, he's a little young to be writing memoirs right now. Throw a few more years on there, say 10 to 15 and then tell me about your life.

This is true also. I'm not saying a book by him wouldn't sell. Matter of fact it'd probably be a hit for some of his fans. Me personally, I'd just look it over at the public library.
