Look, I hate Ohio State. I mean, I hate them. They rank up there with AU and UT on my hate meter. But....I gotta give them credit tonight for the way they played and how the coaches called plays on both sides of the ball. At least, up until the last minute of the game.

I personally think that Prior is severely overrated as an "elite" QB. But OSU coaches have to help the guy out sometimes too. OSU could have tied this game tonight and sent it into overtime had the Buckeyes gotten any kind of direction on offense in the last drive.

OSU started on about their own 40-yard line and could do nothing with it. The last play of the game is indicative of the problems involved with OSU's offense when on a grand stage. Apparently the coaches called for Prior to throw a sideline fade pattern into double coverage, and that was the long and the short of it. You're kidding me?

Supposedly, Prior is all that and a mixed drink, but OSU coaches can't come up with a decent 4th down play? Heck, I would have let him run around and make something up if nothing else.

I know in the grand scheme of things it would have benefited us to have USC lose, but I'm not shedding tears over this one tonight. IMHO, Ohio State, Tressell and Prior are clowns who don't deserve to dance on the big stage. They've proven that time and again, most recently tonight.

OSU played pretty good. Prior is big and fast but he is a bit over rated. I was wondering when USC would get Joe McKnight in space and let him do his thing. Old number 4 is smooth.

THE Ohio State University is a joke.

Consider the advantages they had last night:
~Home game,
~Largest crowd in the history of the Horse Shoe,
~Facing the worst USC team in a decade,
~Defending against a QB who three games ago was in High School,
~Years of recruiting advantage as Michigan and Notre Dame are bad,
~One week removed from having all spring and summer to focus on USC,
~Former #1 Over-All recruit as your QB.

In the end:
~they let USC stay in the game for 54 minutes,
~get stopped and have to punt,
~allow USC to surive a 2 and 19,
~allow USC to drive 95 yards,
~allow USC to convert 2 4th downs,
~allow USC to run it in UNTOUCHED,
~allow a 2-point conversion,
~and then can't move the ball close enough to kick a field goal.

All those advantages and now the game ball goes to THE Punter, 'cause at least he did his job.

You know its bad when Ohio University begins saying THE Ohio State University, to protect their own reputation.
