I'm a Jax State alum and am always interested in pickups like Fanning. A few years ago, the Gamecocks picked up Ryan Perrilloux, a QB from LSU who was given several "second" chances. He made all-conference at JSU but was suspended there in 2009 for "undisclosed violation of team rules." He returned that season and played very well. I hope Fanning is a productive player for the Gamecocks.
