NEW ORLEANS ā Alabama held its second practice open to the media Saturday as players worked out inside of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Players were dressed in shorts and shells for the workout.
Here are a few notes from the brief media viewing period:
ā Alabama didnāt show much as the team doesnāt want to give away anything just two days away from its matchup against Clemson. Players spent the beginning of the period running and warming up before going into position drills.
ā For the most part, nothing has changed since the last viewing period. Defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick is still wearing a hamstring-support strip but looks to be moving well during drills. Linebackers Terrell Lewis, Christian Miller and Mack Wilson were also moving well, as was defensive lineman LaBryan Ray (foot).
ā Earlier today Wilson said he was at 80-85 percent but feels he will be able to make a difference against Clemson.
ā During positional drills, Wilson pulled off a nice one-handed catch while dropping back in coverage.
ā Defensive back Nigel Knott and offensive lineman Brandon Kennedy (leg) were doing sit-ups, while tight end Miller Forristall (ACL) was on the stationary bike. Forristall was moving both his arms and legs on the bike.
ā Receivers were working on quick slants over the middle with quarterbacks.
ā Alabama AD Greg Byrne was in attendance for practice.
