🏈 GAME THREAD SUGAR BOWL: Alabama vs Clemson

I believed it was rub route also and I believe it was planned to the T with Q. Williams doing the rubbing. As if to make a statement. IN YOUR FACE CLEMSON. I don't think CNS gave shit if it was called a penalty or not.
I guess we define things differently. I'd call it a pick play. My definition of a rub route is receivers crossing. Semantics, I suppose, if I see a pick play and a rub route as two different things. IDK(c)

In the pre-game thread where we had a lot using Auburn vs Clemson as a measuring point I asked the question if they were going to use that game as a barometer why isn't the Bama vs FSU game used as a barometer as well. I finally looked this morning to see how they compared. There's quite a bit here with the biggest exception being third down conversions.

Not sure about in the endzone, but on a pass you can block within three yards of tbe line of scrimmage. We were on the one I believe. You could also easily say their linebacker impeded Williams ability to run his route.
