šŸˆ Sudden Impact: Alabama's Top Incoming Freshmen for 2009

Interesting for who was not mentioned. I certainly don't disagree that Fluker, Bowman, Richardson and McCarron have shots at contributing early. I'd add to the list, though. Nico, Tana, Dre all could be impact players as well. If they don't push out a starter they will certainly make the starter get better to keep their job. I'd also put Chance Warmack on that list.

The problem is, where do you put him? Do you think he takes the RG spot over Boswell? I realize he had a great spring and a very good summer as well—but I can't get past the experience factor no matter how little it is with JMB.

In fact, at this point, assuming Carpenter holds on to the LT position I'd be more inclined to believe Fluker gets the RG spot before Warmack.

I see him as potentially backing up both guards if he doesn't win the RG position. He seems way too far along to redshirt. Its been a while since we've had this kind of problem, especially on the OL.

Last year beyond the starters on the OL we used Ross and Boswell. This year we can go several players deeper than that. Without predicting who the starting RG will be, I'll just say that if JMB hangs onto it, he will have had to become a very good player to do so.
