šŸ“” Statement from SEC commissioner Greg Sankey concerning Arkansas' gun law (HB 1249):

Some are saying the vote is going to be close on the newly minted amendment on gun control at R-Kansas sporting events. The NRA is putting the full court press on the legislators to vote no on the amendment and will be making it very political for those who don't line up behind the cause.

After Sankey's latest ultimatum about the future of college sports in the state, it's hard to believe the message hasn't been sent, but stupid is sometimes hard to regulate. If anyone thought North Carolina was under siege with the transgender issue going full throttle, let this piece of legislation run unamended in hog country.

Banning guns will make all these events even bigger targets. Some people are too f---ing stupid to comprehend that. The only people who will obey and not bring a firearm are the ones you want to have them when something bad goes down. I love it when some snowflake fag can't think for themselves and listens to the media spew it's nonsense about guns and then tries to legislate themselves into the most unsafe situation possible.

Do you know how many people carry into the stadium now? What do you think happens next when the media and and liberal queers get their way and the NCAA says absolutely no firearms aloud in stadiums, put it out on a press release, social media, ESPN and the like? Do you think mentally ill people with bad intentions, extremists and other threats are going to say," o dang.. now I cant bring these guns in and start shooting people?" or do you think that makes these venues a safer target for bad people to do their will? Let's see, 100,000 concentrated into one area, unarmed and unable to defend themselves in anyway, media everywhere broadcasting to the world nope that doesn't make it a desireable spot to make a statement.

They have to approve the bill now or let the issue just quietly go away and let things go back to how they were. Plenty of responsible citizens carry into our stadiums now.. just leave it alone or pass the bill and just make the program to carry extensive so only dedicated, responsible people will be willing to do it but whatever happens don't make a political statement and then ban firearms from the stadiums or there will be a tragedy forthcoming and of course the snow flakes wont take responsibility they will blame guns.

I want stadiums to stop selling hot dogs, french fries, and nachos then. They make people fat and clog arteries, and I'm worried about obesity in this country. Heart problems kill more people than guns. Boom, put that into legislation.

A lot of heat there, not a whole lot of new light. Never quite sure with you if we are talking about R-Kansas razorbacks or the 2nd amendment? The reality is, and worth noting, if the hogvilians expect to continue to host stuff like the NCAA baseball, track and field and gymnastic's regionals, not to mention having to look for another conference to play in, they would be wise to act with prudence and haste and amend the gun control legislation on their desk. All of this is imperative now because the SEC commissioner has already made a political statement of his own.

Sankey needs to stay outta this in my opinion. I hope he's not applying the "kick them out of the SEC if passed" pressure.

There are more important things he should be driving right now, starting with 9 conference games in football.

The SEC and NCAA need to stay out of it... and if they take this stance it effects more than just Rkansas and the "hogvilians" it will make every stadium less safe and bigger targets

There you have it, even though 20 actually voted for arming football fans at a ball game, 71 decided to throw caution to the wind in their reelection campaign strategy. Bad day for Yosemite Sam.
