He was voted by the coaches as Coach of the Year? I find that to be very, very interesting. I'd love to see the voting breakdown on that. Chizik definitely deserved it... I can't help but think there was some protest voting going on... had to be, right?

Chizik deserved it in my book. And I would vote Dan Mullen over Steve Spurrier. Just look at how bad South Carolina choked when they had to play for the championship.

This is more than likely the reason. There is NO explanation what-so-ever for them suddenly landing a #5 recruiting class coming off of a 8-5 season with an unproven new HC.

I thought it was a very telling statement coming from his peers. I mean Spurrier lost 4 games. 4! And got blown out, embarassed, whatever you want to call it. And he is now Coach of the Year.......ummmm OK.
