🏈 Spurrier to the Barn?

I doubt that Visorboy would leave Carolina to go to Burnerville U.

HOWEVER...if he did, Saban would kill him in recruiting. Spurrier is, at best, a middle-of-the-road recruiter. He'd rather be golfing.

He cited recruiting as one of the main reasons he left UF for the Redskins. He just doesn't care for it.

I love it... "Visorboy" Reminds me of another one in the Big XII, mister run up the score "Visorboy"

Ain't it Great to be from Alabama :D

If you would have asked me a year ago I would have laughed and laughed. I've rumors from my SC friends dating back to last year that he's not been "happy" and who could blame him. There facilities are attrocious, and their recruiting base isn't exactly tops in the SEC. At this point, AU could just be the lesser of two evils.

Part of this is true...

He's not happy losing like he is at USCe. He's not real happy with the fund raising efforts by the Carolina fan/booster base but they are coming along...just very slowly.

Their facilities aren't atrocious, but they aren't on the same level as the schools they are competing with for recruits. I haven't seen their new academic center...don't know if it is even completed yet or not. Stadium, bad location, nice facility.

The fan base there is getting a bit tired of hearing him say the same things this year as he said in the first year he was there in regards to losses, the team attitude, etc. I was shocked hearing him say some of the players just needed to leave and go to the NFL because they weren't competing.

Better at AU? There's the rub...

He wants to retire in a few more years...4-5 at the most. It would take him a good 3-4 years to get players in place at Auburn for his system. In all likelyhood, he'd end up with the same record at Auburn as he will in Columbia.

The biggest joke, IMO, is the statement "he can't win a championship in Columbia." There isn't anything to prove he can in West Opelika either.
