There is no decision. Just a word. Literally, criticing something you don't know ... no one does at this point here.

There you go again, putting words in people's mouths. I'm not criticizing anything, just stating there is more to it all. Not agreeing is not a problem. You and I disagree on a lot, but we still get along and listen to each other. I'm not a fan of having a practice atmosphere when you can have a game atmosphere. Some of those guys will never see the playing field during a game, so give them a chance to play in front of their families, friends, and fans.

Change with the times? What is changing exactly? I'm a little lost I guess. One coach at Nebraska cancels and all of a sudden everything is changing? And that's always the worst response to situations like these, "well, just change who you are". Well, let me ask you, why can't you change your mindset or feelings? That's the same easy argument in business when revenue numbers aren't where they need to be and you hit the easy button and "well, just raise our prices" while not understanding the true issue at hand.

In the end, it's bigger than me, but telling me to "change with the times" is the quickest way to get an "eff you" from me. Also, changing with the times has fucked college athletics, so let that sink in as well.

Well, this isn't life or death for me, so I'm good with wanting what I want and hope for the best. After all, it's my money I'm spending and they have assured me they want it to propel their plans.

If they do a modified scoring where we see 70 to 13 and it's just a show...I'll be one of the first in line saying, "wasted practice."

Reality is this. We saw a quarter, likely less, of the offense installed last year. There are fifteen practices.

I’ll throw my 2 cents in and be done with this thread. I imagine CKD was asked “what will BAMA do about the Spring Game?” after several other schools cancelled theirs. Put on the spot, he responded with “modified” and we have people on here as @TerryP has said, “losing their shit”. No one has any clue whatsoever as to what CKD’s definition of “modified” will be except for him and his staff. He may do a “situational best on best “goal line, red zone, 2 minute” etc. He could do an offense versus defense with some crazy ass scoring system that no one will understand. I’m going to sit back and see what happens. If it gets televised, I might watch it or I may not. I might wait and possibly go in the fall and catch a scrimmage.
Changing up “How” this A-Day “game/scrimmage/practice” is held, really won’t change it up that much for the fans that want to really go. The Walk of Champions will still take place, the cheerleaders and band will still be there, concessions, etc. Will 100k attend? No! Will 35k-50k likely attend? Yep!

...where the fans knew it was going to be modified before that day and we didn't see people upset.

When it takes more than half of a minute to list off the players who are banged up or not participating at all ... tells you a lot. I hate to imagine a few guys get nicked up during camp. It'll likely happen.

Yes, 25 percent. If I recall correctly it was part of a press conference in September.

Ok we won’t assign blame but with all his shortcomings he gave us the best chance to move the ball forward. So we were very limited offensively. For every 4th and 31 miracle we had a couple of Oklahomas.

I've tried to judge fairly but it's impossible. I just don't know what kids his age, in this sport, are going through.

QB at Bama is one thing. LANK is another. Money is in the equation. Guys just out of their teens dealing with agents. The coaching change.

If you listen to Grubb's press conference he basically says what I've been implying. He mentions Jalen, the offense, and how Jalen wanted to be known as a passing QB. His asset was his legs followed by his passing skills. That created a disconnect between what the team could do and what Jalen wanted to do. It created a disconnect between the staff and the QB, in my opinion.

If there's one thing I think is overlooked? It might be the biggest...Tommy Rees did a hell of a job with Jalen. I did not think, as an upperclassman, the staff would have to deal with the up's and down's Jalen still suffered through. Even with the speaker in the helmet ...
