🏈 Spring Camp: 2016 Practice/Session #1

I'll chalk it up to too many brain cells burnt in my lifetime ... can't recall a situation like this one where actions/disciplinary situations floated into spring camp and the player didn't get to practice. I do recall a few times in the fall camp and during the season.

I'm likely just forgetful.

Think of every kid who was suspended in season and never came back

I'm selective, I only burn the ones that make me a dumb ass, course there are times where I defiantly know that I didn't get 'em all. :D

J. Allen unfortunate shoulder injury was pretty fortunate for us selfish Bama fans. No doubt the only reason he didn't come out. Hopefully he has a monster senior season and winds up a top 5 pick.

Looks like Deionte has definitely put some weight on. That's awesome.

One of the graduate players was saying that he was awesome last season in practice and could have played at WR. Looks like the redshirt year did him well... And I'm assuming he sticks at WR?

I want to say it was in the last of June, or early part of July, where there was a report out he'd put on around 20lbs since he arrived in Tuscaloosa last January. If I recall correctly, he was real close to the 200 mark after arriving under 180: good weight, it appears.

A damn good question.

It was the lack of depth in the WR corps that led to him making the move last spring. The team has lost Black, have two others in black (though they are participating in drills,) and of course the normal attrition we see every season with guys like Mullaney. IF the Tide has signed a receiver or two more I'd be willing to bet he is headed back to defense. Now? Heck, it may not be a question we have answered until fall camp.

I do like his speed and athleticism as safety—purely my preference for putting play makers on the defensive side of the ball.
