@sportsandra: Only one Gator sings Alma Mater after loss http://t.co/zoQQXFzz via @yardbarker
More...
Floridaās upset loss to Louisville in the Sugar Bowl was a disappointing one. Yet one Gator player didnāt let it prevent him from remembering his school spirit.
Following the game, backup LB Darrin Kitchens ā who did not play in the game ā made his way over to the portion of the Superdome closest to the Florida band. There, with his helmet proudly held high, he sang the Florida alma mater for one last time this season.
Singing the alma mater is normally reserved for Florida victories, but the junior was hell-bent on thanking those who cheered for him and his teammates throughout the season. As a result, he helped give us a photo thatās both moving and timeless.
