People will need to stop paying this guy attention. He literally has mental issues. A few years ago Jeff Pearlman (author that just wrote a fantastic USFL book) went out to find this guy after he just vanished and was doing a big story on him but when he found out what happened to him, mental breakdown pretty much, he decided not to do the story. Earlier this year dude just randomly reappeared and started saying all of kinds of weird, very political things (too), and not much about sports (other than college sports being slavery or some nonsense) until now. At the Iron Bowl there was a place set up for "Brooks" next to me in the press box and I was nervous that it was going to end up being him (no one ever showed up at all for that seat).
