A young guy, said to have a tremendous amount of talent running and passing, is backing up a Pro-Style guy in an effort to avoid mistakes.

That has nothing to do with the Tide ... other than it's been a discussed theme here.

Playing a pro-style guy against this defense seems like you really don't like your QB. As ridiculous as it sounds I may be more inclined as a coach to take a safety that was a QB in high school, condense the playbook to about 4 plays, and hope for the best.
