All the talk of Saban looking to add a grad transfer QB, this one flew under the radar here. He is a two-year starter that had some pretty average/below average numbers for the most part but also was under a pretty horrendous OC with little talent around him. He's a 5-year senior and already has his degree, any thoughts on this being a possibility?

MOBILE, AL (WJHG/WECP) Call it a bit of a shocker from Rutherford alum Dallas Davis.

The 5th year senior to be, has left the University of South Alabama team, just a few days before the Jaguars spring game.
That coming from the team's head coach Steve Campbell Thursday night, and confirmed to us by Davis himself Friday.

Dallas has already graduated from South Alabama and could play elsewhere this fall as a graduate transfer. I spoke with him Friday afternoon by phone, he told me he fully intends to play elsewhere in the fall, "100 percent" as he put it. He says it may or may not be within this region, finding the right fit is the most important thing.

Dallas adding he intends to start talking with other programs very soon.

Davis was the team's starter for much of 2016 season, got bumped from the job going into last season, but wound up getting playing time after starter Cole Garvin got hurt. Threw for over 13 hundred yards, 8 td's 8 picks.

Dallas was involved in one of the more iconic moments in South Alabama football history in 2016, when he hurdled a Mississippi State defensive on the way to a big gain during what
proved to be the Jaguars' winning touchdown drive.
