Not a surprise, considering his record...It's almost like looking at the difference in quality of both the US men's and the women's team national soccer teams.

Martin's a good guy; I hope he can land somewhere quickly.

USCe is not exactly a hot bed when it comes to men's basketball now days. Tough area to recruit and two tough leagues; ACC and SEC to compete for players.

When Tennessee was at their best (under Fulmer they routinely raided the Carolina's and the DMV for talent. It's there, it just needs to be recruited. Under Spurrier we saw UofSC do fairly well with some big time names (with Shane Beamer coordinating their recruiting efforts.)

If I were the AD at UofSC I'd be targeting BJ McKie. He did a hell of a job at Charleston Southern for five or six years and has done well since he joined the staff at Wake.

(Don't sleep on UofSC in football this season.)
