I knew this team's outside shooting was bad, but I had no idea it was this bad.

Out of 338 teams, Alabama ranks 335th in 3 point shooting. I love CAG, but imo, that is inexcusable.

I agree. Love the way we "usually" play defense but I wonder sometimes if it doesn't take so much energy that it hurts our shooting. What's bad is that sometimes our 3 point shots are not even close. Maybe once our younger people on the team mature it will get better. RTR

With out a doubt, the 3 point shooting was MUCH better last night!
Our guys played a terrific game.

They are learning when to take the threes now. I noticed coming down the stretch that Randolph and Lacey both passed up some open looks for threes in order to run some clock. It will take a little time for them to mature but they will better as the season goes along. They did have some issues in taking care if the basketball. I'm sure CAG will fix that.

I hope it's not long until they tell Lacey to shoot the ball whenever he can. He might be the shooter. Randolph still starts out too low. You can really see the habit when he shoots free throws (of course it doesn't matter where you shoot from on those). I think when Lacey is the man, the one who is supposed to score, he is going to do well. Maybe it is youth and inexperience. It's so frustrating that it takes Bama longer for their youth to mature than some other schools.

The team played well in Green's absence.

I think Lacey will be turned loose more and more as the season wears on. I hope they can get Cooper on track as well. The deep ball isn't really Randolph's game. He isn't terrible at it, but he is more of a slash to the basket guy. Seems like he gets some funny spin on the ball at times, perhaps because of the release point issue you mentioned.
