🏈 Something I found in the CW GAMEDAY edition for UA/TENN

i was just reading through The Crimson White GAMEDAY edition from this past saturday (vs tenn). in it is an article titled Our View: Bring Back "Dixieland Delight". the story tells about the history of that song and how the UA student section had added their own words. and, how the "University officials far up in their sky boxes" may not be so keen on the lyrics. and it goes on to basically say they want the song to come back to the stadium to be sung in the 4th quarter as it once was.

While it's a crowd favorite, the muckity mucks don't want to encourage the salty language in a family atmosphere. I noticed at the Tennessee game that the students sang it anyway.

yeah, they sing it pretty much every home game regardless.

My seats were so far away from the student section, I couldn't understand what they were saying anyway. I knew what they were saying but couldn't understand it. I guess it's easier to understand closer to the students. I always enjoyed it myself.
