I agree, mostly. If Softball "fans" want a change, they can yell to the heavens about it and hope it comes from that direction. But if actual softball "boosters" want a change (and I'm talking about the hard core, Walk-Off Club types), they can stop giving to the program and discontinue other support like going to the games and events. Those are actions that IMO would move the needle in time. I also agree that Bama is behind the 8 ball on some now in regards to NIL, Texas Tech being one... a team that likely stole 1, if not 2, transfers from Bama last summer with $ that Bama couldn't (and probably wouldn't) match.
As far as NIL/Collective fundraising? Speaking events and such. I'd just be guessing beyond that, but I'd imagine it's about like the other softball coaches... and I think camp money can be finagled into collective money even if it isn't completely legal (I think there's been some changes there). Personally, I haven't seen a lot of finger pointing at the boosters... not in terms of any blame anyway. I'm technically a UA booster, same as you. I haven't given the softball program a dime for NIL, and never will barring a massive windfall of money, and even then, I'd think long and hard about since I hate the system. I do not hold it against any UA boosters, though I'm certainly thankful for those that do.
Too see a big reason why, look at the pitching from last year... ERA was up 1.00. It was a see-saw-like rise and dip.
