What's the story behind the blue? Saw Oklahoma wearing blue socks against Tennessee and my daughter asked.

A thing they do every year now throughout the league as a tribute to former Miss State player Alex Wilcox who passed away from cancer (ovarian I think?) a few years back. I'm guessing it raises some money, not just awareness.. not sure.

The girls hung on to win despite getting screwed by a couple of botched replay calls... Briski pitched as well as she had in a bit which is good to see. Bats did their job. That's a big series win for UA... up next in SEC play they go on the road to Baton Rouge to play #4 LSU. They have a DH this Tuesday with Alabama St. and Samford which Murphy will have to sit out since he was thrown out of the game today.

With today's win, Bama now sits at 4-5 in the league. Not a terrible spot, all things considered, but an extremely dangerous spot if they want to finish in the top half of the SEC. Next 3 weekends are: @ LSU, Oklahoma, @ Florida. Gonna need a lot of things go right to emerge from those 9 games on the positive side. And I'm mean they'll need their bats to be hot, their pitching to be the best it's been all year, the defense to be stellar, and still some degree of favor from the softball gods. The good news? Their RPI will be sitting pretty. 🫤
