I'm asking that while circling around another point/thought.
IF you were that DC, you've got four games of film to study. Those games include one where a lot of quick outs were thrown, another when there were none. One game featuring some big gains on offense, another that didn't, but both had practically the same number of explosive plays. (Difference of two between Southern Miss and Florida.)
If you were asked, as that defensive coordinator, what's the identity of the Alabama offense in 2014, how do you answer that question?
Now, as a fan, how do you answer that question?
I suggested to @planomateo a few weeks ago that a lot of the fan anxiety came from those fans not having a sense of their football identity with this team. The only word I have is multiple.
One thing I find interesting this morning...we're considered a 3-4 defense but spend 75% of the time in nickel. We're considering a Pro-Style attack and how many different formations are we seeing? Start counting them in your head for a minute...
