I haven't heard anything official, just rumored he's been telling people he won't be back next year. Probably the reason we offered the GA kid immediately after the decommit.

Just pure speculation on my part, but if these rumors regarding Griff leaving to pursue a Masters were true, I could see it partly being due to his struggles early and the new guy coming coming to challenge for the job.

Now that he has been solid down the stretch and with Pineiro out of the picture, maybe he changes his mind?

Quite possible and simply my opinion, Saban could have been talking with him about the possibility of looking somewhere else to finish his career with the chance of having Pinero for 4 years and with Adam struggling in the beginning. Or AG could have seen the handwriting on the wall with Saban and Co. actively recruiting such a top ranked guy into the fold and him with eligibility left. All for naught now.

From what I heard, it was a difficult masters program and he wanted to focus entirely on finishing top of the class. Now again, just a rumor I heard, but I could see that being an excuse and the real reason being the stress and heavy pressure of kicking for UA.

Hopefully it's all a moot point and he's wearing crimson next year though. Anyone know anything about some Georgia kid we offered after the Panera flip?
