I got married. During the LSU - Bama game. More than one person told me I must really love her and then of course made the joke that if we had gotten married in Alabama instead of Tulsa, none of the locals down there would've showed. :bluebiggrin:

Just wanted to show off the groom's cake to those that would truly appreciate it.

Yes, the outside of the hat portion was fondant with a layer of icing with rice krispies as the shaped base for it all. The bottom layer (the hat box) was all cake wrapped in fondant.

It turned out better than I could've hoped.

The fondant on the outside can be printed on with edible ink, that's how they get the look

And we set the date last year before the first LSU game and well before the schedule came out. The only day she knew she couldn't have was the day after Thanksgiving or that weekend.

We are actually in Tulsa. I grew up in Pensacola until moving here.
