Though it isnt as overreported as Andre Smith last year.

I had been researching Rolando in the combine since it began, he is IMO one of the best linebackers ive seen at any level today, and I intend to follow his career.

Well, as we know he ended up not working out at the combine because of an injury, and following it i was surprised at some of the questions being brought up about his character and competitive attitude. Scouts almost assume there was nothing wrong, that he might not be competitive, and that he may just be plain slow. Some of the more random people are questioning whether he really can be a leader on their team, and his Q&A session led to him possibly falling in the draft in general because he said he was better suited to the 3-4(the fact that he is honest with his preferences is the target there)

So eh, Im just a tad bit aggrevated. Some knee-jerk mock drafts have him out of the first round, of course that is pretty crazy in itself. But Id hate to see his stock fall because Rolando doesnt bend over far enough for other people.

Comments from reporters speculating what that Team's Scouts are easy to find...cause they are worthless. Last year these same comments project Andre Smith to end up as a Junior Varsity Bag Lady because the didn't Polka and wasn't in shape bikini season. How brilliant do those comments look now?

The draft is like poker, so even if you could get a team's real opinion it wouldn't enlighten things much. There is every reason in the world for them to not let you know what they think. Its right up there with the wife asking if these jeans make her look fat.

All of the big name draft "experts" still have Ro going withint he first 20 spots in the first round. I think the Broncos take him. Every year there are a lot of players that skip the combine because they have nothing to prove. Ro has nothing to prove, but having an injury and doing the combine wouldn't have helped him any and today at the pro day he did great.

He won't fall far if at all.

Only a hand full of scouts come to pro day..... I wouldn't say that. I'm pretty sure that the indoor complex will be packed with scouts to come see these guys work out once more or in Rolando's case for the first time. These organizations often send 3-4 scouts each to the Pro day. The only reason everyone is at the combine is because no schools hold their Pro Day until after the combine. I would say that there would be at least 35-40 scouts in Tuscaloosa.

The Combine offers a better chance to showcase your physical abilities to all of the scouts.

All the scouts go to the combine, not every scout goes to a pro day.

The combine only offers a better chance because every organization has all of their people there and none of the colleges hold their Pro day during Combine week. Once schools make the announcement of their Pro day, they split them up and send them out. Each organization will send 3-4 scouts apiece as long as there aren't 20 different colleges holding their Pro days at the same time. There will be at least 35-40 scouts in T'town.
