🏈 So how do we look for next year?

I'm wondering if Nico will step up his coverage skills, and perhaps playbook knowledge/making calls, to be an every down player. I'm wondering if Mosley will be big enough to play every down. Looking for good things from DePriest next year at LB.

Birdman you are correct. I have been really pleased with the line as a whole. Warmack IMO has made the most improvement. (At least from where I was sitting in section C) I mean that as a joke in the sense of, I don't get paid 6 figures to know who is the best, etc.

It seems that last year Warmack was getting called for holding about every game. A lot fewer mistakes along that line this year. With everything setting up for a strong defense in 2013 I think the OL might be the only question mark we have with having to replace a few guys along that front. By 2013 Warmack and Jones will be gone. That will leave Cyrus at LT, Steen at RG, Fluker at RT. We would have some big shoes to fill at that point.

You presume that Fluker would still be there by 2013. If he continues at his progress at RT, I wonder if he would last that long b/4 he leaves for the draft b/c that would be 5 years in crimson & that is becoming pretty rare for the top athletes. I could see him staying just to get better; we'll just have to see how he plays out.

Also don't forget about Arie K. I feel pretty good about him getting a lot of playing time at guard next year much like his brother did at LT.

can't really think of anyone else.. lester maybe..

I could see Lester. I am just mainly wondering if there is someone that is willing to step into that role. In 2010, no one really took over that role from Ro., but this year Hightower and maybe Barron took it. Just wondering if we have someone that looks like they will take that role next year.

One person that I haven't heard mentioned that I think will be a more factor with our defense next year, and in coming years, is Adrian Hubbard. He has seen some PT this year. Mainly in passing situations, which is definitely his strength.

He's a long, rangy athlete that can cover a lot of ground and get after the quarterback. I think he will be encouraged to try and add some weight to better defend the run, but I could see him transitioning to give us that weapon on the edge once Upshaw is gone.

What's the word on Tana Patrick? I don't recall seeing him on the field at all this season, but I know the staff had very high hopes for him coming out of HS.
