This day, will be the first day, I've mentioned Mossad and Israel in the same breath: much less with this guy.
I’m sorry to hear you’re either uninformed or disinterested about this topic. The fact is, we have lived in an empire for a long time. And in empires foreign lobbies pursue their self interest as much as domestic lobbies do, perhaps more so. Gradually our foreign lobbies grew from overseas operations by US companies to include artificial nation-states dependent upon our aid and protection just to remain intact. Over time foreign policy dominates domestic policy, eventually leaving less and less for domestic needs and infrastructure while apportioning greater revenue for securing and expanding the empire’s periphery, most recently illustrated in the push into Ukraine, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, etc. The inertia of endless war crosses a threshold beyond which more wealth is expended than the wars themselves are able to steal from foreign lands. In all empires this leads to currency devaluation, declining living standards, and increased chaos at home as profiteering becomes less refined and more desperate, like rats sensing they’re on a sinking ship. See today’s press conference with Zelenski as an example! This is where we are in the arc of our civilization; we’re on the back end, circling the drain, and our allies (ie vassals) know it as they encircle D.C. like vultures hover over dying prey. This is why foreign dependencies are pillaging our treasury, through espionage, bribery and blackmail in the final days of the Pax Americana while the USD is still worth something. And US presidents and politicians are so desperate for a vision they invoke the glory of the past via “MAGA” while ironically sending US treasure overseas for personal kickbacks of all sorts, varieties … nationalities and ages.
I made mention of how often you refer to Israel.
My usual manner of interaction is as follows. If I agree or support what someone posts, I will normally only “like” the post. By default, this leaves most of what I do post as a challenge to the claims of others. In other cases, such as this, I will inject into a thread something which I feel has been neglected yet is relevant and deserving of attention. I realize many here have a preexisting theological bias towards this particular foreign government, and the sources of news most members consume here are probably of the tribe who were given Epstein binders by the administration.
There's obsession here from my cursory point of view.
There’s a myriad of ways I could respond to this. I could say:
“So what? Either reply in agreement, disagreement, or follow with further inquiry in curiosity. Or don’t reply at all. Calling someone obsessive simply redirects attention away from the topic of discussion.”
Or I could reply by saying I’m obsessed with
my country,
my country’s borders,
my country’s families,
my government,
my government’s sovereignty, and
my government’s ability to serve Americans, not foreigners. You find fidelity to one’s own country peculiar, do you?
The voting booth showed up in both, right?
A majority of voters never voted for their money to be sent overseas. It is lobbies, billionaire donors, and think tanks funded by contractors and foreign governments which induce politicians to intervene overseas. You don’t twice elect a president running on an “America First” slogan if voters really prefer for their money, sons and daughters to be sent overseas.
Sort of ironic when I've always said focus on the individual versus the umbrella people put groups under. Same here.
What relevance does this have to anything I’ve posted? I agree, as a long-time libertarian, it’s preferable to treat people as individuals rather than as part of a group. But since you needlessly bring this up, I’ll press you. What would you say if some individuals identify themselves as part of a group, call nonmembers derogatory names, believe nonmembers to be inferior, mistreat nonmembers, and believe they are entitled to privileges that nonmembers are denied? Should we continue to treat such people as individuals when they identify, behave, and coordinate as a group?
