🏈 @sn_ncaaf Has Bob Stoops led Oklahoma as far as it can go?

Growing up in Youngstown, Ohio as one of six Stoops children, young Bobby and his brothers and friends used to play a game called “Hide the Strap.” One kid hides a belt somewhere in the yard, and whoever finds it runs after everyone else and whips them until they reach home.“Everybody got a whipping,” Stoops says, laughing at the memory.

......Uh Bobby I think JFF is still behind you with that belt!!! Run Bobby Run!!!!

I know I sound like a broken record on this...

Until OK changes what they do offensively, I think they have gone as far as they can. The style of football they play, like the rest of the Big12, causes softness on the defense and an overall lack of the physical toughness required to win it all. They play in a flag football league and they could win that league every year and get manhandled in the big dance unless they luck up and some other flag football league team makes it. OU fans, like the rest of the big12 fans, live in this fantasy land where the style of football they embrace is the way the game is to be played. The media reinforces this with their incessant hyping of these horrible 62-58 games. Meanwhile, Bama keeps dominating and Stoops, the media, and the Big12 can't understand why they keep getting dunked vs any team that can actually tackle.

How have OU's recruiting classes been the past few years? So far, I have not heard anything about them getting top recruits, or seeing them get top 10 recruiting classes in the past few years. That's kind of sad when you have Texas right on the border, and you have the facilities that OU has. Their defense also has been atrocious. Until they fix that, and get back to playing physical football, they'll remain where they are now.
