🏈 SI's Tony Pauline hearing Lacy and Fluker to declare...

So what I've seen, he's a top 5 RB. I've seen suggestions that there will be no 1st round RB's.

(I'm the furthest from a draft expert, just restating what I've seen around the web just looking about an hour ago)

Eddie is probably best suited to leave early. The longevity of RBs in the NFL doesn't have a lengthy time period so might as well make the jump and get all you can for 4-5 years. He probably will go between the mid 2nd to late 3rd rounds. It's all about needs! We have a bevy of RBs coming and a few on the mend that could make Eddie's leaving an after thought.

DJ may be maxed out at this level with a degree in tow. IMO, he is a early 2nd round draft that may eventually get moved to the guard position. As stated earlier, IF Brown pans out, we won't skip a beat at RT. Steen has been the unheralded man on this O line. He'll anchor the RG spot with CK holding down the LT spot as a pre-season All-American. Big brother, AK will take over for Chance but it is at center that I have some questions. Ryan Kelly looks to be the man but does Chad Lindsey move him out or not?

Milliner is a 1st round pick without a doubt. His play has improved dramatically since he first stepped on campus. Geno Smith has stepped up and the light has seemed to come on for John Fulton to step in for Dee. Where will Ardarius Stewart come into play? Does he go to WR or DB. I have an uncle that has officiated HS football for 30 yrs in the state and he says that lb. for lb., Stewart is the hardest hitting player her has seen.

CJ would be a late 1st to mid 2nd round pick. If CJ did leave, this would be a spot where we need Rueben Foster to see the light and come home. DePriest will be back, but we lose Nico to graduation. If CJ returns, he can mentor these young bucks and be a Top 10 pick next season.

Rehashing a bit on Lacy here, but it's the right choice. Staying isn't going to help him, in fact it would likely hurt. He'd probably see a drop in carries and this year is a weaker RB class. It makes sense to go now. The longevity for a RB isn't very long. Save a few hits from SEC LB's and start earning some money.

The one to keep an eye on now is CJ.

I sincerely hope Lacy gets drafted by a team that actually uses the run effectively, unlike Ingram at Nola .. I can see him on a team like the Ravens or Steelers (but I would HATE to see him with the Steelers!!!). They will all go on to do great things, I am sure of it. I only wish my NFL team would draft them all somehow, lol.

The thing Lacy has to consider is, can be have a better year in 2013 than he did in 2012. Hard to imagine how he could. OL will be new and there will be more cooks in the kitchen with all the RB talent. He may. It have a choice but to go. Just my opinion. Hate he only had 1 year as the feature back though.

terry, any chance we get OTs Tunsil and/or Golson?

i never understood the risk taken on Ivory. i hope Lake is ready for serious PT next season. i think we'll need him. i see Ball functioning as a passing down NT like Gentry.

Tunsil - good old UGA vs Bama battle. I like our chances as much as I'm sure they like theirs.

Golson - really haven't heard anything on him as of late. I know he has an official planned in January, but he's also following that up with a official to FSU.

Risk taken on Ivory? Lost me.

Was gonna say, Ivory will likely be the starting NT next fall. I think he is exactly what we thought he would be.

It's exactly what I did say on page one...with Pagan and Stinson flanking him.

I can't think of any situation this season he hasn't filled in for Jesse with little to no drop off.

Ivory has progressed really well. He probably seemed to be a question when he was first signed. He needed that first year here to redshirt and remold his body and build strength. I think the D-line will be pretty stout again next season with Pagan, Stinson, Fanning, Lake, Tomlinson, and company.
