each of his recruiting classes (through last year) have won at least 1 national championship and all but one have won at least 1 conference championship.

granted, this is going by the 4-year model. not all players stay for 4 years and some are there for longer. even using a 3-year model, each player has won at least 1 of each.

2008 - NC in 2009 & 2011 | SEC in 2009
2009 - NC in 2009, 2011, & 2012 | SEC in 2009 & 2012
2010 - NC in 2011 & 2012 | SEC in 2012
2011 - NC in 2011 and 2012 | SEC in 2012 & 2014
2012 - NC in 2012 & 2015 | SEC in 2012, 2014 & 2015
2013 - NC in 2015 | SEC in 2014, 2015 & 2016
2014 - NC in 2015 & 2017 | SEC in 2014, 2015 & 2016
2015 - NC in 2015 & 2017 | SEC in 2015 & 2016
2016 - NC in 2017 | SEC in 2016
2017 - NC in 2017

if we win the conference and the national championship again this year, then it will extend to all classes (adding 2017 & 2018) that have won at least 1 each. to me, that's a pretty damn impressive record. also, it's a helluva recruiting tool. "Come to Alabama...where you're pretty much guaranteed a conference and national championship before you leave."

I also like to add that every freshman class since 2006 (last of Shula's) has at least one NC, that would be 12 freshman classes.
