🌎 Shortage on fluids in healthcare

@TerryP I know you usually bring up tv shows in this part of the forum, and didn’t you reference The Resident at some point? I remember they had an episode where they were short IV fluids and the prices were going haywire. Their little group of hospitals decided to buy an IV manufacturer so that they could control their supply and pricing.

The hospital genre. It's just one of those things where I don't have an appetite. As a kid was an Emergency fan. (I still have the lunchbox.)

Chicago Med? No.
Chicago Fire? Yes.

Yeah, the shows get a little stale after a season. I think the only reason I was drawn to it is because my wife is a resident. Although I did like House, but I think mainly that was because I enjoy sarcasm.

Ever had an authentic Chicago deep dish pie?

Yeah, It ain't bad, but I'm a thin crust kinda guy. Fold it "New York" style.

Once every six or seven months...maybe longer.

Hard to find outside chicago, or has been for me. Did find a good one in San Diego.
There was a place in Birmingham back in the 80s that had AMAZING Chicago-style deep dish pizza.

Dugo's

Those damn pizzas had to be 4" thick. One slice and that was about it for most people. As a growing kid with an endless appetite and the metabolism to match, I could get about 3 slices down. Damn that pizza was awesome. I wish they were still around.

My first experience was in Chicago; mid 80's. It was "lasagna" thick; as thick as it your keyboard minus the character row.

They gave all their customers permanent markers and told them to go sign the wall if they haven't already. There were 1000's of signatures...around July probably. I came to understand they repaint after they close each New Years Eve.
