I can appreciate the impulse but I am not ready to say that.
The Defense, for the first time all season, was flying to the ball. They seemed much more instinctive on their responses. I don't know what Golding was able to do to make things click this past week or if he simplified things but you could tell they all were much more aggressive with how they played last night.
The OL has been suspect all season. I think after the low snap Dalcourt was replaced by McGlaughlin & some short time after that Damieon George was replaced by Chris Owens. Those two replacements made a big difference. I'm not sure why it did but it did. Kuddos to whomever made those calls. And Evan Neal FINALLY started chewing a$$ in the 3rd quarter. The OL hasn't really had the Alpha, get in your face, & do your job leadership. Not anymore. Perhaps it has clicked with those guys that they will NOT get very far on just talent anymore.
Offensively, we tried to give this game away. Poor execution with dropped passes, penalties, low snap, fumbling long snap, even times Bryce Young was not very productive (lets face it, he was affected by the pressures... nobody is perfect). However, we should have stuck with running the ball more, we started to do that in the 4th quarter & we saw decent results. But when the last 2 minutes of the game came about this offense figured it out. Oh & welcome to the show Mr. Brooks. Hell of a TD catch. We need more WR's to step up like the 2017 class did. It's long overdue.
And to that point..... I hope the team has had an Ah-Ha moment with those guys that stepped up. In short, you will be replaced if you aren't getting it done. And when your name is called, go make it happen. It's time.
