🏈 SEC Underclassmen Declaring for Draft

Jamal Adams is leaving early to the NFL as expected.

Former LSU coach Les Miles was on hand for Adams’ press conference. Miles signed the five-star Hebron (Carrollton, Texas) safety in 2014. He was rated the No. 31 overall recruit of the ’14 class.

Looks like McElwain is truly following in Spurrier's footsteps. If he doesn't get some recruiters on that staff, he's not long for Gainesville.
Just something about McElwain's personality and demeanor that has never appeared to be a good fit in Florida. Love the guy, and I think he's good. But just think he's best suited west of the Mississippi.

Isn't he 2/2 SEC E championships?

First QB ruled ineligible, and Del Rio was banged up most of the year...

In terms of recruiting, he will have to get a few dudes for sure! But it won't be as simple as the Urban Meyer days. Evaluation super important

I was taken back a little when Foley reached out to Colorado State. Probably just the Saban effect. He can certainly coach, but without elite athletes who are sitting in the middle of a recruiting goldmine, he could be heading somewhere. Florida just promoted Randy Shannon to DC, but he's been on staff. McElwain's team sits at around 19th in recruit rankings, not great for Florida.

Ross Redshirted as a Freshman and started all the games last year as a Soph(redshirt Freshman). This is his JR year (redshirt Soph) 3 years after HS, Draft eligible.

I fully understand he's draft eligible and a a rSoph... my quote was that most Oline stay the extra time to get bigger stronger... 3 years and out is the exception for Oline, not the norm.

Dittos. Funny thing is I have to check myself sometimes when I critique other coaches/programs ... because it's like I'm comparing it to Saban/Bama. Sort of unfair to compare others to what is likely to go down as the most historic run in football history, haha.

Color me surprised if this happens....he certainly disappeared towards the end of the year (along with the rest of the passing game). Figured an improved Jalen would help his stock for final year.
