[TD="bgcolor: #CCCCCC"]Alabama Crimson Tide
Record: 7-0 (4-0)
The Revolution has come to the Power Poll. At least most of it.
In the penthouse of the Saban Plaza, the view is still lovely,
the caviar is chilled and the No. 1 ranking is intact.
But down below, the peasants have broken in, trod ding on the
old guard's Oriental carpets and gobbling down jars of their quince preserves
while asking one another what a " quince" is.
It's utter chaos.

[TD="bgcolor: #CCCCCC"]Missouri Tigers
Record: 7-0 (3-0)
The Tigers aren't just nouveau riche. They are Nouveau SEC,
but that has not stopped them from crashing the reception.
And with a win over South Carolina this Saturday, they are likely
to crash the reception in Atlanta, too.

[TD="bgcolor: #CCCCCC"]Auburn Tigers
Record: 6-1 (3-1)
The Tigers got their biggest win, by far, since the 2010 BCS game,
last Saturday. Visions of grandeur are dancing in Auburn heads once more.
They might vanish -- but who thought they would last this long?

Record: 6-2 (3-2)
The Tigers lost at Ole Miss, proving that Grambling wasn't the
only team from Louisiana that didn't show up on Saturday.

[TD="bgcolor: #CCCCCC"]Texas A&M Aggies
Record: 5-1 (2-1)
If this was the SEC Defense Power Poll, the Aggies would be last --
below Arkansas, below Kentucky. If Johnny Manziel isn't heathy this weekend,
I am honestly not sure they can stop Vanderbilt. In College Station. Think about that.

[TD="bgcolor: #CCCCCC"]Georgia Bulldogs
Record: 4-23 (3-2)
No doubt about it, Georgia is beat up. How beat up to you have
to be to lose to Vanderbilt? Picture a fight between Deontay Wilder and Betty White.
It doesn't faze Georgia fans, though, as it provides an excuse
for another non-championship season. But, yes, the Dawgs are pretty beat up.

[TD="bgcolor: #CCCCCC"]South Carolina Gamecocks
Record: 5-2 (3-2)
This was a tough weekend to explain. Clowney (only one name needed)
had his best game of the season, and the Gamecocks still lost.
I still think this is a pretty good team but it is way out of sync.

[TD="bgcolor: #CCCCCC"]Tennessee Volunteers
Record: 4-3 (1-2)
A pretty good homestand -- surviving South Alabama, scaring Georgia,
then stopping Spurrier -- gives the Vols some confidence for a tough stretch ahead.
Whether UT can find a comfort zone outside of the SEC's most uncomfortable stadium is another question.

[TD="bgcolor: #CCCCCC"]Ole Miss Rebels
Record: 4-3 (2-3)
Shouldn't a win over LSU propel the Rebels up a bit? Yes, yes it should.
Call it a glitch in the system that will probably correct itself as
the Rebels could win out from here.

[TD="bgcolor: #CCCCCC"]Florida Gators
Record: 4-3 (3-2)
Here's an idea for Florida. Their offense is a gross, disgusting mess.
But what if we served it on a pretzel bun?
Then people wouldn't notice, right?

[TD="bgcolor: #CCCCCC"]Vanderbilt Commodores
Record:4-3 (1-3)
Like Ole Miss, the Commodores probably deserve a boost
for beating a big-name team this weekend. Unlike Ole Miss,
they are going to have a hard time backing it up --
unless Johnny Football is Johnny Sideline this week.

[TD="bgcolor: #CCCCCC"]Mississippi State Bulldogs
Record: 3-3 (0-2)
This week's game with Kentucky would at least give the Bulldogs hope of getting
to a break-even season and a bowl bid.
Not much hope, but some. Which, when you get this far down the poll,
is something -- but not much.

[TD="bgcolor: #CCCCCC"]Kentucky Wildcats
Record: 1-5 (0-3)
By virtue of not playing at all, the Wildcats were elevated one notch.
Also, they get bonus points for playing a Thursday
night "Battle For No. 12 In The Power Poll" game in Starkville.

[TD="bgcolor: #CCCCCC"]Arkansas Razorbacks
Record: 3-5 (0-4)
When your goal is to hold the opponent to less than 50 points, that's bad.
When you aren't sure you can
do it in your open week, that is really bad.

In my opinion, Mizzou and the Barn are the biggest surprises in the SEC this season. If you'd told me in August that these were the teams you expected to be #2 and #3, I woulda thought you were bonkers!
