- Georgia's center, Ben Jones, asking Mark Richt a question in the media room.

"I think the jersey change is a great idea if you win and a bad idea if you lose."

"It's not difficult if you win. It's not difficult if you win nine, 10, 11 a year, win the Eastern Division every other year, win the SEC every three or four years. It's not a problem at all. It's when you go 6-7, that's when it's a problem."

- Auburn tight end Philip Lutzenkirchen on his 7-yard catch for the winning score in a 28-27 comeback victory at Alabama.

"I told everybody I was 8-7 in post-game handshakes last year. It was a remarkable feat. ... They asked me on this tour, they say, 'Hey, what was your greatest moment last year?' I said, 'Well, there were two of them. They just only lasted about 30 seconds.'"
- Tennessee coach Derek Dooley, who had two apparent wins nullified by late penalties.

I'll repeat myself in a recap I'm planning on putting together after today. But, I've got a few thoughts today.

Since the SEC split into divisions in football, Georgia has won the SEC East three times. The last in 2005 and the first in 2002. We are going into the 20th year of the SECCG. So, his job isn't difficult? Is that what he's insinuating here?

He struck me yesterday in his interviews as a Tressel clone. I'm not accusing him of bending the NCAA's rules at every opportunity like Tressel did, but it was the general persona Richt put off that, well, put me off. It was something that could be described as an "holier than thou" type attitude. Condescending aura. That's about the only way I could interpret how he was acting.

He'd best win this year. I still believe he gets two more if this season isn't up to Bulldog fans expectations. And, if it isn't...you'll see "hot seat" personified in Richt.

As another note:

If you read todays comments, and those from yesterday, you'll find some players "talking."

Heisman is what I want to win. Our focus is on Tuscaloosa. Me, Me, Me.

I'm not making those up. And, if I were a fan of any of those three schools, I'd be a bit worried about focus.
