🏈 SEC Football tonight?

To me, this is a game that the spread scares me. Picking UofSC straight up seems to be a smart move.

Outside of our contest...

I think Vandy is going to take to the air tonight on the talents of the younger Rodgers brother, Jordan. There's a part of me that wants to see Vandy win this game. That's largely in part because I want to quietly revel in hearing all of the UofSC fans wail.

However, that's a problem because I have a hard time rooting against a former Bama player, UofSC DC Lorenzo Ward. One can't help but be proud of what Wammy has accomplished in his career, ya know?

I'm all for Vandy, this reminds me of the same scenario with Baylor versus TCU last year.

Now if Vandy's defense hasn't improved, it will be USC's by a big margin due to Connor Shaw lighting it up last year and Lattimore being arguably the best back in the nation

Did you start down a road...a train of thought with "last year" and then change directions?

Garcia was beginning the crouch last year against Vandy on the way to his death knell after Auburn; four INT's against Vandy. Now, that has to be balanced out with 14 of the 21 points came as a result of two passes: one a TD to Lattimore and another a pass which set Lattimore up for a 20 yard or so run for a TD.

It really was an ugly game last year. But, it wasn't one that you can give credit to the offense. Defense won that one.

Ingram scored seven, and the defense forced nine punts I believe. Vandy ended up with less than 100 yards on the game. HORRIBLE running numbers. I'd have to look again, but I know they didn't have more than 10 yards rushing last year.

I'd watch Jordan Rodgers. After Franklin finally passed the reigns over to him the kid had a pretty good year. Again, if I recall this correctly, they turned the offense over to him about halfway through the regular season and he had good numbers. He was horrible in their bowl game and ended up being benched. But, in those last five or six regular season games he was around that 200 mark consistently. Even though Vandy lost to UF, Rodgers had a hell of a game.
