🏈 GAME THREAD SEC Championship. Alabama vs Georgia. : How do the two teams compare to each other?

Baker hasn't played against one dayum good passing QB the entire year. We'll see. Bama has to hold UGA to FG's as well as get some stops. We'll see.

That said, do I believe that Georgia's defense is better than L8U? I would have said no, but Defensive S&P says they do, albeit just barely(14 vs 16), and so does sports-reference (10 vs 24). Shows what I know. In any case I do know that they have the talent and a proven defensive guru in Kirby so I don't doubt they will/should make Tua & Co. work for everything they get. I think the Bama players are up to the task though.

Dont always fall in love with stats..... Lsu D has 2 premier Dbacks....
I would rate LSU D better just watching .....but UGAs O is much better ....better backs....and QB...and coaching overall....
How lsu beat uga....didnt watch...but bet Nick has...

I was in Tuscaloosa for the Mizzou game that day, but from what I saw, LSU just flat whipped their ass at the LOS. Both sides of the ball.

Really....not much....but getting in a tight game and having to battle for 4 quarters...(which i dont think will happen)
And depending on erratic kicking game.....
Bama needs to get running game going....and early...and not put it all on Tua's shoulders
D wise...I feel the can handle UGA

Super. So Who’s Going To Win The SEC Championship?

This is going to be fabulous … for about 50 minutes.

Georgia will get up early and will be trending for all of the right reasons, but just when it looks like it might happen and the upset might be coming …

Kaboom.

Alabama will go on two tough scoring drives, the defense will stiffen up, and team that’s been so amazing all throughout the season will have the proper fire lit under its tail. It’ll start with the defensive line.

Georgia will have success in the first half of the game on the ground, and Fromm will be terrific at taking advantage of the short-to-midrange throws no one seems able to hit on the Tide lately. But the Bama defensive front will start to generate more pressure in the second half, Tua Tagovaolia will shake off a mediocre first 30 minutes, and the game will slip away from the Bulldogs after two empty trips.

Alabama will win, but the final score won’t be indicative of how tough this will be.

In the big scheme of things, I think Bama has a better chance to win it all if they LOSE Saturday.

TIFWIW. A whole lotta pressure to run the table, and much, much easier to motivate after a loss.

That said, Bama favored heavily for a reason. Georgia is like near dead last in 3rd down pass defense... In the country!

There is no team this year that can line up and beat Alabama if Bama plays our A game. That being said, the next game and hopefully the two following it will be against high quality opponents and our B game may not be good enough to beat them...

I stopped worrying about games a long time ago. They'll either win or they'll lose. There is nothing I can do to make the chances better either way...
